A full slate of action is on tap for CBC's Hockey Day in Canada on Saturday. Three games involving all six Canadian NHL teams plus day-long festivities in the host town of Campbellton, N.B., and all over Canada will mark the occasion.

Host Ron MacLean kicks off the broadcast at noon today (CBC, CBCSports.ca) from Campbellton. Three hours of coverage will follow and it includes visits via satellite to Carlyle, Sask., Cold Lake, Alta., Plaster Rock, N.B., Windsor, Ont., and Liberty Village in Toronto.

The NHL action heats up at 3 p.m. ET, a matinee affair as the Ottawa Senators visit the Montreal Canadiens. The struggling Senators have lost their last two games and are welcoming former teammate Mike Comrie back into the fold.

Montreal just wants to get back on the ice, away from all the talk about locker room troubles and alleged player indiscretions.

At 7 p.m. ET, the Toronto Maple Leafs welcome former captain Mats Sundin, now a Vancouver Canuck, back to the Air Canada Centre. The 38-year-old Swede spent 13 years with the Leafs, and returns to Toronto for the first time since signing with the Canucks in December.

The late game (10 p.m. ET) features the latest round in the Battle of Alberta as the Edmonton Oilers host their most bitter foe, the Calgary Flames.

Both teams are desperate for wins for different reasons. Calgary wants to lock up the Northwest Division title, while the Oilers are fighting tooth-and-nail for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
