Russian forward Fedor Fedorov was signed Monday by the New Jersey Devils, ending a two-year stint in Europe.

Contract terms were not disclosed.

Fedorov, 27, posted 12 goals and 14 assists for 26 points with 117 penalty minutes in 49 games with Moscow Dynamo last season.

He split the previous season between Yaroslavl Lokomotiv of the Russian League and the Malmo Redhawks of the Swedish Elite League.

Fedorov was originally taken in the sixth round (182nd overall) by Tampa Bay in 1999, but he failed to reach contract terms with the Lightning and re-entered the draft in 2001.

Vancouver took him in the third round (66th overall), and he posted two assists and 14 penalty minutes in 18 NHL games with the Canucks and New York Rangers.

New York acquired him from Vancouver for Jozef Balej and a sixth-round pick on Oct. 7, 2005.

Fedorov's older brother, Sergei, plays for the Washington Capitals.
