Bank sues Sergei Fedorov over unpaid loans

Citizens State Bank filed a lawsuit Monday in Macomb County Circuit Court, claiming Fedorov has stopped making payments on $2.25 million US in loans.
Fedorov, 38, took out loans of $1.75 million in 2004 and $500,000 in 2005.
He allegedly owes the bank $2.1 million in principal and interest, and was sent a default notice in May.
Fedorov reportedly put up a Miami condominium as collateral on the larger loan, and an 11-year-old horse and an insurance policy on the smaller loan.
Fedorov, a former Hart Trophy winner as the top performer in the NHL, re-signed with Washington on July 15.
The six-time all-star split last season between the Columbus Blue Jackets and Capitals, posting 11 goals and 30 assists for 41 points in 68 games.
He had two goals and 13 points in 18 games for Washington, which went 14-4 with Fedorov in the lineup.
Fedorov has posted 472 goals and 1,146 points in 1,196 games over 17 NHL seasons with the Detroit Red Wings, Anaheim Mighty Ducks, Blue Jackets and Capitals.
He won Stanley Cups in 1997, 1998 and 2002, and the Selke Trophy as top defensive forward in 1994 and 1996.
