Sania Sting centre Jamie Arniel, here going in on net late last season, is facing multiple charges in Kingston, Ont. (Dave Reginek/Canadian Press)Boston Bruins prospect Jamie Arniel has been charged with impaired driving in Kingston, Ont.
Police allege Arniel, taken 97th overall in this year's junior draft by the Bruins, was behind the wheel of a Toyota that zig-zagged across lawns and hit parked cars, utility poles and a stop sign in the west-end neighbourhood where he lives.
Arniel, arrested in the early morning hours of June 22, submitted a breath sample that showed he had a blood-alcohol level 2½ times over the legal limit, police said.
He had been seen in a nightclub in downtown Kingston the night before his arrest.
Arniel, nephew of former NHL player Scott Arniel, has been charged with impaired driving, driving with a blood-alcohol level over the limit and four counts of failing to remain at the scene of an accident.
