Hockey Night in Canada fans can put NHL commissioner Gary Bettman on the hotseat during CBC's coverage of all-star weekend in Atlanta.

Viewers and visitors to CBCSports.ca can pose questions for Bettman about the state of the game at askgary@cbc.ca. The segment will air Jan. 26 after the NHL's YoungStars exhibition and skills competition. (CBC 7 p.m ET).

Bettman has typically made himself available for interviews with CBC's Ron MacLean during all-star weekend, but this will be the first time fans will be able to interact with the commissioner.

Forward Sam Gagner of the Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks defenceman Alexander Edler will represent the Western Conference in the NHL YoungStars competition, it was announced Wednesday.

The pair will be joined by the NHL's leading rookie scorer, Patrick Kane of the Chicago Blackhawks, as well as David Perron and Erik Johnson of the St. Louis Blues, Los Angeles Kings defenceman Jack Johnson and Matt Niskanen of the Dallas Stars.

Former Canadian world junior star defenceman Kris Letang and Marc Staal lead the Eastern Conference. Letang, of the Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Ranger Staal will be joined on the blueline by Tobias Enstrom of the Atlanta Thrashers and Mike Lundin of the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The forwards will be Nicklas Backstrom of the Washington Capitals, Brandon Dubinksy of the Rangers, Pittsburgh's Tyler Kennedy and Milan Lucic of the Boston Bruins.

The YoungStars will play 3-on-3 hockey and test themselves against veteran goaltenders and all-stars like Martin Brodeur, Rick DiPietro, Evgeni Nabokov and Chris Osgood.

The 56th NHL all-star game takes place Jan. 27 (CBC, 6 p.m. ET).
