Veteran forward Cory Stillman was activated Monday by the defending Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes.
Stillman, 32, will make his season debut Tuesday in Calgary after spending nearly four months recovering from Aug. 19 surgery on his right shoulder.

Stillman posted 21 goals and 55 assists for 76 points in 72 games last season, his first with Carolina.
The Peterborough, Ont., native has totalled 205 goals and 510 points in 717 games over 11 NHL seasons for the Calgary Flames, St. Louis Blues, Tampa Bay Lightning and Hurricanes.
He was drafted sixth overall by Calgary in 1992.
Stillman is one of six players in NHL history to win Stanley Cups in consecutive seasons with two different teams — with Tampa Bay in 2004 and Carolina in 2006.
