Nashville's Barry Trotz applauded the NHL's decision to suspend Bobby Ryan Games 3 and 4 for stomping on the foot of Jonathon Blum in Game 2.

"I love Bobby Ryan as a player, but his act, it's not needed in the game, so I think [the suspension] was warranted," Trotz said.

Added Trotz: "To me, there's no cry anywhere, on radio, TV anywhere that it was unfair. I think it was fair."

Trotz said that this doesn't change Nashville's preparation much for the Ducks in Game 3. He said he will keep the same lineup he used in Games 1 and 2.

"It really doesn't change a whole lot," Trotz said. "From their standpoint, they probably put up a [Brandon] McMillan or [Matt] Beleskey, one of those guys.

"[Anaheim coach Randy Carlyle] does that anyway. He changes guys around, he moves Bobby on different lines. It really doesn't change that much, he's a good player and it's one less weapon they have to their disposal."
