Hockey Night in Canada's Kelly Hrudey:
This might look like a similar situation from last year when Detroit played a lower seed in Anaheim, but it's much different only because Tomas Vokoun hasn't played as well as Jean-Sebastien Giguere did last season. I thought earlier this year that Vokoun may have been the type of guy to pull off an upset, but his game hasn't been as strong since the all-star break.
I think more so than any other year, any of the 16 teams in the playoffs can make the finals. It's not just 12 or 13 teams that have a legitimate shot at the Stanley Cup, it's more like 15 or 16. But if there's one out of any of them that I'd be more surprised to see an upset, it's this one. I really think Detroit can walk all over them.
It's important for Detroit to try and get a lead in every game just to keep Nashville out of the picture as long as possible. Nashville won't have a lot of pressure on them so their enthusiasm level will be very high. Detroit will want to eliminate any of those positive thoughts Nashville might have.
For Nashville, the key will be to just go play. A key player for Nashville that not a lot of people know about is Adam Hall.
