• Comeback Canucks strike again

    With their 4-2 victory in Game 6 Sunday night in Los Angeles, the Vancouver Canucks won for the 13th time this season when trailing after 40 minutes, a poetic way to finish off the series.

    The Canucks have been comeback kids all season long and all series long. Vancouver won three straight after going down 2-1 in the series. They last two victories involved third-period rallies.

    Mikael Samuelsson managed a rare feat on Friday night, chasing two goalies from Vancouver's 7-2 win in Game 5 of its playoff series against Los Angeles.

    Samuelsson now leads all playoff scorers with seven goals.

  • Rypien, Williams expected to play Game 5

    Los Angeles Kings defenceman Drew Doughty learned on Friday morning he was a finalist for the Norris Trophy for the league's best defenceman.  He told the media he wasn't expecting the nod.  Doughty found out from Leafs defenceman Luke Schenn, who called him this morning to congratulate him.  Doughty said he immediately called his dad and told him to check the NHL website to make sure it was true.
