Kris Draper could be re-inserted into the Detroit Red Wings lineup on Tuesday for Game 3 of the Stanley Cup final versus the Pittsburgh Penguins

Forward Mikael Samuelsson didn't participate in the morning skate with the team, which might open up a spot for the 38-year-old Torontonian.

"It will be based on Samuelsson," said coach Mike Babcock. "He didn't take the morning skate so we'll see what happens there."

Draper has sat out the last four games of the playoffs (three with a suspected groin injury, and one as a healthy scratch).

More good news for the Wings: Hart Trophy candidate Pavel Datsyuk looks like he's finally recovering from a nagging foot injury that has kept him out of the last five post-season contests.

"He had the best overnight experience he's had," said Babcock. "He seemed to have a big turnaround, so he was real optimistic today."

But he's still not playing in Game 3 on Tuesday.

"I don't assume that affects today's game whatsoever, but it could really affect the following game," Babcock said.

The Penguins might toss Petr Sykora back in the lineup as well. Sykora has one assist in the playoffs and has been a healthy scratch for the last 11 post-season games.

Pittsburgh head coach Dan Bylsma said his lineup would be decided just before the game.

"We're dealing with some bumps and bruises," he said.
