The Ottawa Senators signed journeyman forward Brad Isbister to a one-year, two-way contract on Thursday.

Isbister, 31, had 11 points (six goals) and 38 penalty minutes in 55 games last season with Vancouver, his fifth team in the last five seasons.

In 541 NHL games, Isbister has recorded 222 points (106) goals and 615 penalty minutes.

In addition to Vancouver, the six-foot-four, 225-pound Edmontonian has had stints with Phoenix, the New York Islanders, Edmonton, Boston, and the New York Rangers.

A two-way contract allows an NHL club to pay a player a different (lower) salary for any time he may spend in the minor leagues.
