Speedy forward Steve Sullivan is staying put with the Nashville Predators.

Sullivan, 34, reached terms Wednesday on a two-year, $7.5-million US contract with the Nashville Predators.

The Timmins, Ont., native returned from an 18-month absence following back surgery and posted 11 goals and 21 assists for 32 points in 41 games last season.

At the NHL Awards, he received the Masterton Trophy for perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey.

Sullivan has totalled 239 goals and 609 points in 764 games over 12 NHL seasons with the New Jersey Devils, Toronto Maple Leafs and Predators. 

He was drafted in the ninth round (233rd overall) by New Jersey in 1994.
