The Pittsburgh Penguins recalled veteran forward Miroslav Satan from the minors on Friday.

Satan has appeared in 65 games with Pittsburgh this season, but was sent down to the American Hockey League before the March 4 trade deadline and cleared waivers.

Satan had 17 goals and 19 assists with the Penguins. He had three points and six assists in 10 games with Wilkes-Barre in the AHL.

The Slovakian forward has 354 goals and 367 assists in 1,012 regular season games, a career played with Edmonton, Buffalo and the New York Islanders.

Pittsburgh will play in Montreal on Hockey Night in Canada on Saturday night, the last regular season game for both clubs (CBC, CBCSports.ca, 7 p.m. ET).

The Penguins have advanced to the playoffs, but the weekend slate of Eastern Conference games will determine their standing. Pittsburgh can finish the season anywhere from fourth to sixth, where they currently sit.

Satan has 15 goals and 23 assists in 56 career NHL playoff games.
