No. Only your name and username will be shown.

Can I change my password?

Yes. Just log in. Click "Your Persona" on the upper right of any page on the Web site, then click the "Your Account" tab, where you will see a place to change your password and your e-mail address.

What's the difference between registration and my profile page?

You can subscribe to the Hockey Night In Canada OurGame.ca newsletter and post comments on stories without creating a profile page. A profile page is a place where you can tell the Community who you are. You can share your team name, position, game scores and schedule, as well as add friends.

What is the difference between public and private profiles?

You can set your profile to private so that it is only viewable by your friends, if you set it to public, everyone can view your profile whether they’re on your friends list or not.

What is the difference between public and private groups?

A private group allows the comments, photos and members to be hidden within your group until someone is actually a part of your group. In order to join private groups, you must request to join which requires approval by the group administrator. A public group allows your group’s content to be viewable by everyone and joining the group does not require approval.

 What is a group?

A group is a place where all players on your team, league, etc. can gather to share tournament schedules, team events, photos, stories and videos.

Do I have to be logged in to comment?

Yes.

Do I have to use my real name?

We’re trying to keep discussion on the Community civil, open and smart. We think using real names will allow you to find your teammates more easily.  However, if you are under 18, you should read our Online Safety Tips and you may consider using a nickname or just your first name and the first initial of your last name.

Can I delete a comment I’ve made?

Unfortunately, no. It’s the reason you should think about what you’re about to post. Once it’s up, it’s there for everyone to see. Your profile page also includes a history of your comments.

Can I block people that are bugging me?

If someone becomes a nuisance to what you post, go to that member's page and report the person as inappropriate through the “Report Abuse” link, making sure to explain why you are flagging him/her.

Can I change the e-mail address on my account?

Yup. Just log in to the site, click “Your Account” and type in your new e-mail address in the space provided. We will send you a confirmation e-mail with a link you have to visit before the change takes effect.

Will signing up create a profile?

No. As soon as you sign up, a simple account is created, showing your name and username that will allow you to comment on Minor Hockey News Stories. You will need to create a Community profile, which will aggregate the comments you've left around the site, allow you to upload photos and video and participate as much as you want within the Community.

How do I find a friend?

You can find friends through the Friend Finder.  Here you’ll be able to search by e-mail address, first and last name, and team name. If you can’t find your friend it’s easy to invite them to join by clicking on the invitation link and typing in their e-mail address.
