Quick fire shooting drill
Purpose: Players work on quick release shooting from all areas of the offensive zone.

Purpose: Players work on quick release shooting from all areas of the offensive zone.
- Players line up in one corner with pucks
- x1 starts skating backwards while carrying the puck
- x1 makes a pass to the next player in line, x2
- x2 fires a pass back to x1, who is still skating backwards
- x1 carries the puck around the neutral zone dot and transitions to skating forwards
- As soon as x1 crosses the blueline, he/she fires a shot on net
- x1 continues to the net and gets another quick pass from x2 for a one-timer
- x1 transitions to backwards skating and gets another pass from x2
- x1 carries the puck backwards around the other neutral zone dot, transitions and takes another shot on net after crossing the blueline
- x1 skates hard to the net for another one-timer on the goalie
- x2 now becomes the shooter and the next player in line is the passer
- Run the drill out of both ends
- Encourage communication and heads up passing and shooting.
