The Blackhawks' Marian Hossa left the ice on a stretcher on Tuesday in Chicago after taking a hit from the Phoenix Coyotes' Raffi Torres.
The Blackhawks' Marian Hossa left the ice on a stretcher on Tuesday in Chicago after taking a hit from the Phoenix Coyotes' Raffi Torres.



Torres was not penalized on the play but it appears his feet left the ice to deliver the hit and Hossa was taken to hospital.

UPDATE: Hossa was released from hospital and in a release the team said they will be monitoring him closely at home, but anticipate a full recovery.

It's your call: will Torres get a call from NHL's discipline czar Brendan Shanahan?

If so, it won't be the first time this season Torres has caught the league's attention for a questionable hit:
