Ottawa Senators forward Mike Lundin got a rude awakening from Philadelphia Flyers winger Harry Zolnierczyk on Saturday afternoon.
Lundin, who was playing for the first time in the past five games, carried the puck into the Philadelphia zone midway through the first period of the
Flyers' 2-1 win and was levelled by Zolnierczyk, who appeared to leave his feet to deliver the hit while his shoulder appeared to make contact with the 28-year-old's head.
The latter was given a game misconduct and five-minute major for his efforts, while Lundin was forced to leave the game. The play will automatically be reviewed by the league.
Ottawa head coach Paul MacLean later revealed Lundin suffered a concussion as a result.
What do you think of this hit? Should a suspension be handed out to Zolnierczyk? A fine? Or should there be no discipline? Let us know in the comments section below.
