The Toronto Maple Leafs and Winnipeg Jets are among the youngest teams in the NHL this season, while the Calgary Flames and Vancouver Canucks have two of the older rosters.
The Nashville Predators have the youngest average age, while the Detroit Red Wings have put together the oldest club. Can a young team like the Predators win the Stanley Cup? Why not? But we should point out that last season the final four teams -- Boston, Vancouver, Tampa Bay and Boston -- were all veteran-laden clubs.
