The Edmonton Oilers have called a press conference for 2 p.m. ET Tuesday, when it's expected they'll name their new head coach.

The Oilers have been without a bench boss since they fired Craig MacTavish in mid-April, after Edmonton missed out on the playoffs.

Steve Tambellini, the Oilers' general manager, has interviewed coaching heavyweights Pat Quinn, Marc Crawford and Tom Renney for the vacancy.

Todd Richards, San Jose's assistant coach, has also had an interview, and newcomers Kevin Dineen and Scott Arniel are on the shortlist.
