Boston Bruins forward Tyler Seguin tweeted on Thursday that he is joining Swiss National League A team EHC Biel until the lockout ends.
The 2010 second overall pick is just the latest player that has opted to sign with a hockey team overseas.
On Friday, Hockey Night in Canada personality Don Cherry took to Twitter @CoachsCornerCBC and chimed in on the exodus of NHLers to Europe.
"I don't blame the Europeans for going to play in Europe but you millionaires you're supposed to be a union," Cherry tweeted. "Stay together and fight the good fight on this side of the ocean instead of going over and taking jobs from some poor guy trying to make a living."
As of Thursday, 48 NHL players have committed to 32 different teams in Russia, Finland, Sweden, Ukraine, Germany, Switzerland, Belarus, Slovakia, Latvia, Poland and the Czech Republic.
