CBC's Hockey Night in Canada and Hyundai will team up Friday night (CBCSports.ca, 10 p.m. ET) in Vancouver for a coaching symposium as part of Hyundai Hockey Nation.

Join former NHL player and coach Pat Quinn, along with hockey mentor Ron Davidson, as they will provide coaching tips and advice.

Quinn and Davidson will be discussing:

  • Responsibilities as hockey parents & coaches (do's and don'ts).
  • Some specific drills (scrambler, vortex, race to score, perfecting glide - all are on the HTH website).
  • Quinn talks about the Development Pyramid.
  • Basic hockey and skill development.
  • Dryland trainers talk to minor hockey players about diet, exercise and playing multiple sports.
