Tomas Kopecky of the Detroit Red Wings may need surgery after suffering injuries to his face during a fight in Game 4.
Kopecky fought Anaheim defenceman François Beauchemin in the third period of Detroit's 6-3 win on Thursday night.
Initial reports on the Red Wings' forward are not good, and it appears he'll need surgery, according to GM Ken Holland.
The team is still waiting for the final word from doctors.
Defenceman Brian Rafalski and forward Kris Draper, both of whom have missed the series with upper-body injuries, might play Tuesday night in Game 6, Holland said.
The best-of-seven series is tied 2-2. Game 5 is Sunday in Detroit.
