The New York Rangers unveiled their official Winter Classic jersey on Monday in the lead up to the outdoor game to be played against the Flyers at Philadelphia's Citizens Bank Park on Jan. 2.

The jersey the Rangers will don, according to a release, features a 'retro style' that pays tribute to the tradition of the Original Six franchise with the Rangers’ shield logo inspired by the one used by the team during their first season, in 1926.

The Winter Classic game, the fifth edition of the outdoor spectacle, will follow the alumni game between former Flyers and Rangers greats on Dec. 31.

Headlining the Rangers alumni squad are former Blueshirts Brian Leetch, Adam Graves, Glenn Anderson, Mike Gartner and goalies John Vanbiesbrouck and Dan Blackburn.

The coaches were also named, with Mike Keenan, Emile Francis and Colin Campbell returning behind the Rangers' bench.
