Colorado Avalanche

Landeskog returned Sunday for the Avs.

Landeskog was out with a torso injury.

Landeskog had a goal and two assists, and the Avalanche scored three times in the third period to rally past the Flames 5-4 on Thursday night.

After tallying just one assist in his first three games back from injury, Landeskog finally broke out in a big way Thursday. Hopefully that effort is a sign of things to come.

Landeskog is back on the ice Saturday in Los Angeles for the Avs.

Landeskog had head and neck injuries after being hit by San Jose's Brad Stuart on Jan. 26.

Landeskog says he is headed home to Sweden to play for second-division Djurgarden during the NHL lockout. Landeskog wrote on Twitter on Wednesday that he was ``excited to get back on the ice infront of family and friends.''

Stockholm-based Djurgarden says in a statement that it has reached a verbal agreement with Landeskog for the duration of the NHL lockout. Landeskog played for Djurgarden before being picked second overall in the draft last year, and the 19-year-old left winger was named Colorado's captain in September, making him the youngest player ever to lead an NHL team.

Landeskog was named the youngest captain in NHL history Tuesday. He's 19 years, 286 days old.

Sidney Crosby previously held the record when he was named Pittsburgh captain at the age of 19 years, 297 days.
