The Blues recalled Allen under emergency conditions after one day at Peoria, Ill., of the AHL.

Allen made 29 saves Thursday night in his first NHL shutout, backstopping the Blues to a 3-0 victory over the Phoenix Coyotes.

Allen has gone from minor league goalie to a stabilizing force for the St. Louis Blues in the span of just a few weeks. He is 7-1-0 with a 2.33 GAA.

Coach Ken Hitchcock said he will start Allen wither Tuesday against the Sharks or Wednesday against the Avs so stay tuned to see if this red-hot rookie can keep it up.
