Coach Mike Babcock declined to give details, but hoped he would be healthy enough to play against the Predators. Franzen did, indeed, return in Thursday's game against Nashville, and had a goal and an assist in a 4-2 victory.
Franzen scored twice to help Detroit beat the Phoenix Coyotes 4-0 on Monday night in a matchup of two teams in a logjam for the final two spots in the Western Conference playoffs.
