Chicago Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville started Crawford against the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday and the goaltender finished with 32 saves in a 2-1 shootout victory.

Crawford left his last game with an upper-body injury. He played in only the first period of Thursday night's win at St. Louis. Ray Emery relieved Crawford against the Blues and finished off a 3-0 shutout. Quenneville insists Crawford's latest injury isn't the same one that took him off the ice earlier this season.

Crawford helped lead Chicago to a 1-0 victory over Columbus on Sunday in his return from an upper-body injury.

Crawford stopped 28 shots in his first start since Feb. 12, earning his seventh career shutout and second this season. With that effort, he improved to 8-0-3 with a 1.50 goals-against average.

Crawford, who sat out three games with a upper-body injury, backed up Ray Emery on Friday.

Crawford has been sidelined since he had 31 saves in a 3-2 shootout loss to Anaheim last Tuesday.

Crawford made 29 saves Tuesday in a 3-2 SO loss to the Ducks.

Crawford still has yet to lose in regulation. He's sizzling hot at 7-0-3 with a 1.65 GAA.
