Bouwmeester, who has an annual cap hit of $6.68 million through to the end of next season, has six goals and nine assists in 33 games in 2013 in addition to his cool-sounding name.
Often the object of fan criticism since signing a lucrative free agent contract with the Flames three years ago, Bouwmeester appeared energized all night, constantly jumping up into the rush.
