Chicago Blackhawks

The Chicago Blackhawks have scratched Hossa from Monday's nights Stanley Cup finals game against the Boston Bruins.

Hossa was tied for the team lead with 15 points in the playoffs. He was third in the regular season on the Blackhawks with 17 goals. The Blackhawks said on their Twitter account that ``something apparently happened during warmups.'' Ben Smith was in the lineup in his place. Smith, who played at Boston College, appeared in one game for Chicago during the regular season.

Hossa had two goals and an assist as the Chicago Blackhawks beat the Minnesota Wild 5-1 on Thursday night and won their first-round playoff series 4-1.

Hossa has three goals and three assists in these playoffs to match his point total from the Blackhawks' previous two playoff appearances. He was limited to three games in last season's opening-round loss to Phoenix after suffering a concussion on a vicious hit from Raffi Torres.

Hossa came through with the game-winning goal in Chicago's 5-4 overtime win over Nashville on Friday.

Hossa has scored a goal in three straight games and four of five. It was his sixth game-winning goal of the season and his second in four contests.

Hossa finished with a goal and two assists in a 5-2 win over Dallas on Monday.

Hossa has scored in three of his last four games.

Hossa returned to the ice in Chicago's 4-3 shootout loss to St. Louis in Thursday.

Hossa had missed six straight games with an upper-body injury.

Hossa had two goals in the Blackhawks' 8-1 win at Dallas on Saturday.

Hossa has four goals in five games, giving him 13 on the season.

The Blackhawks said Hossa was traveling with the team after being scratched from Wednesday's game against the Avalanche with an upper-body injury.

Hossa, who is day-to-day, could return on Friday at Colorado.

Hossa scored his third game-winning goal of the season on Monday with the overtime winner in Chicago's 3-2 victory over Edmonton.

Hossa's nine goals this season are Chicago's second-most behind Patrick Kane's 10. The goal on Monday was only his third in his last 10 games.

Hossa was back for Friday's 2-1 win over San Jose.

Hossa left early in the third Tuesday when he took an elbow to the head from Vancouver's Jannik Hansen.

Hossa scored the game-winner on a behind-the-back pass from Patrick Kane in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win at Dallas.

Hossa ranks among the NHL leaders with five goals.
