Notable NHL unrestricted free agents

Normally, the annual Canada Day fireworks on July 1 coincide with those in the NHL, namely the bidding for high-priced free agents. Ryan Miller, Dan Boyle, Jarome Iginla and Paul Stastny all could have new hockey homes by the end of Tuesday.

Normally, the annual Canada Day fireworks on July 1 coincide with those in the National Hockey League, namely the bidding for high-priced free agents.

There is no shortage of sought-after unrestricted free agents, from sure-fire Hall of Fame goaltender Martin Brodeur, 42, and Ryan Miller to blue-line veterans Dan Boyle and Brooks Orpik to scoring forwards Jarome Iginla and Matt Moulson.

Compliance buyouts have also made once-expensive forward Brad Richards and defenceman Christian Ehrhoff available on the free market.

Richards and Ehrhoff are featured in the photo gallery above, listing the notable unrestricted free agents at forward, defence and in goal.

Others include Mike Cammalleri, Jonas Hiller, Matt Niskanen, Paul Stastny and Thomas Vanek.
