Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin has surgery Tuesday to repair a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder and will be out four to five months.

The Blackhawks called the surgery successful, and said the procedure was performed at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
