This wasn't a shootout, and there's a height difference of about a foot, but Nathan Gerbe did his best Marek Malik impression against the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday night.

With his club already up 1-0, the five-foot-five Carolina Hurricanes forward broke out on a breakaway and used a sweet behind-the-legs move to deposit the puck past the shoulder of a baffled Steve Mason. Carolina won 3-2.

Malik, a six-foot-six former NHL defenceman, pulled off a similar feat in a shootout against Olaf Kolzig in 2006.
