Leafs' Joffrey Lupul out 2 weeks with groin injury
Toronto forward suffered strain Monday
The Toronto Maple Leafs will be without forward Joffrey Lupul for about two weeks, head coach Randy Carlyle confirmed Wednesday.
Lupul suffered a grade 2 groin strain during Monday's 6-0 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets. He appeared to hurt himself in the second period as he was battling for position in the corner with Jackets defenceman Ryan Murray. Lupul left the game and did not return.
The 30-year-old from Fort Saskatchewan, Alta., has eight goals and seven assists in 22 games this season.
He was previously sidelined two games in late October with a bruised foot.
