Kings of Leon rock Montreal at NHL Face-Off

Molson Canadian NHL Face-Off is taking Montreal by storm in the leadup to opening night in the NHL on Hockey Night in Canada (CBC,, live now).

The 2013 Molson Canadian NHL Face-Off is taking Montreal by storm, taking over Place des Festivals in the leadup to the Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens on CBC's Hockey Night in Canada (CBC,, live now).

The league's annual season-opening festival begins at 3 p.m. ET with musical performances, interactive hockey attractions and appearances by Canadiens alumni.

Headlining the pre-game show is Grammy Award-winning band Kings of Leon, with local hip-hop faves Loco Locass and Toronto indie rockers The Beaches as opening acts.

Kings of Leon will take the stage at 6:45 p.m. ET, with two songs aired live on Hockey Tonight and the entire concert streamed at 

Plus, CBC's George Stroumboulopoulos -- yes, he is a die-hard Habs fan -- will be on hand to host right up to the drop of the puck at Bell Centre.

The second half of our all-Canadian doubleheader has the Edmonton Oilers welcoming the Winnipeg Jets to Rexall Place (CBC,, 10 p.m. ET).
