Martin St. Louis said the snub that originally left him off Canada's Olympic roster for the Sochi Games "was definitely part of" the reason why he renewed his trade request to New York.

The Rangers veteran forward chatted with Hockey Night in Canada host Ron MacLean during Saturday's Inside Hockey segment. He discussed leaving Tampa Bay to start a new chapter with his family, and his current standing relationship with Lightning general manager and Team Canada executive director Steve Yzerman.
