Jason Spezza hasn't had much luck when it comes to injuries over his career. 

The 30-year-old Ottawa Senators captain played in just five games last season in the lockout-shortened campaign due to a back injury that required surgery, and has only suited up for one full season in his 10-year career (2008-09). 

And that's part of the reason why he's so determined to rebound from his latest injury setback. 

The Toronto native spoke to Hockey Night in Canada's Elliotte Friedman and talked about how he's recovered from last season and what his expectations are going forward.
