The Hockey Hall of Fame announced its five newest members on Tuesday.
Former NHL players Chris Chelios, Scott Niedermayer and Brendan Shanahan will be inducted in the fall, along with late coach Fred Shero and women's hockey standout Geraldine Heaney.
Several candidates with strong credentials did not get in, including ex-players Paul Henderson, Phil Housley, Jeremy Roenick and Eric Lindros, and late coach Pat Burns.
