Ron MacLean says St. Louis Blues forward Maxim Lapierre could be looking at a lengthy suspension.

The Hockey Night in Canada host chatted with Rob Pizzo and David Amber on Hockey Night in Canada Radio on SiriusXM Thursday about Lapierre'shit from behind on San Jose Sharks defenceman Dan Boyle on Tuesday.

"It's up to [NHL chief disciplinarian] Brendan Shanahan, so I'm sure he'll throw the book at Lapierre," MacLean said. "I don't know if it's 10 but I think it will be in the vicinity."
