The Edmonton Oilers have seen better days. 

Currently last place in the Western Conference, the club is trying to climb its way out of the basement. The man tasked with overseeing the transition is Oilers general manager Craig MacTavish, who has a tough task ahead of him.

MacTavish chatted with hosts Rob Pizzo and Craig Simpson on Hockey Night in Canada Radio on SiriusXM on Tuesday to talk about what it will take to transform the struggling, young franchise into a contender.
