The Montreal Canadiens didn't just give up a tough loss to the Nashville Predators on Saturday, but they also lost veteran forward Daniel Briere to injury.

The Montreal Canadiens didn't just give up a tough 2-1 loss to the Nashville Predators on Saturday, but they also lost veteran forward Daniel Briere to injury.

Briere was skating through the Nasvhille zone without the puck when Predators forward Eric Nystrom caught him with a blindside hit early in the second period.

Briere remained on the ice for a few minutes before leaving the game. He did not return and the team later announced on their official Twitter account that the 36-year-old native of from Gatineau, Que., had suffered a concussion.
