Goalies Marc-Andre Fleury and Peter Budaj came so close to a centre-ice clash before referee Kyle Rehman intervened.

Budaj of the Montreal Canadiens challenged Fleury of the Pittsburgh Penguins to a fight late in a chippy third period Wednesday.

Fleury accepted the invitation and began skating toward Budaj, but Rehman held back Fleury and quickly ended the netminders' showdown before it began.

The Penguins went on to win 5-1.

Watch the video above for more. Do you agree with the officials for stopping Fleury and Budaj, or should they have let the goalies fight?
