Did You See That? Kadri's controversial hit on Ceci

Nazem Kadri permanently etched his name into the Battle of Ontario's history books on Saturday night. Late in the second period, the Toronto Maple Leafs forward laid a hard hit on Ottawa Senators defenceman Cody Ceci.

Leafs forward's questionable play leads to game-tying mark

Kadri hit Senators defenceman Cody Ceci from behind and then centred the loose puck to Lupul for his 17th. Despite the Ottawa protest and the referees discussing amongst themselves, there was no penalty on the play. 3:11

Nazem Kadri permanently etched his name into the Battle of Ontario's history books on Saturday night.

Late in the second period, the Toronto Maple Leafs forward laid a hard hit on Ottawa Senators defenceman Cody Ceci.

While playing the puck behind the net, Ceci had his back turned as Kadri came in and hammered him into the boards.

No call was made on the play as Kadri sent a backhand pass to the front of the net where teammate Joffrey Lupul scored to tie the game 2-2. The Maple Leafs went on to win the game 6-3.
