Sidney Crosby helped Pittsburgh to victory in Game 3 at Madison Square Garden on Monday night and got the monkey off his back by scoring for the first time in 13 games.

Sidney Crosby helped Pittsburgh to victory in Game 3 at Madison Square Garden on Monday night and got the monkey off his back.

Crosby beat New York Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist between the pads to make the score 1-0 at 2:34 of the second period.

The Penguins captain hadn't scored in his last 13 games, dating back to March 30.

As far as playoff games are concerned, Crosby hadn't found the net since May 22 of last year, a span of 13 post-season games.
