Brendan Gallagher is the type of player that is built for playoff hockey, according to Don Cherry.

The candid Coach’s Corner commentator used his Hockey Night in Canada segment on Wednesday night to explain why he thought the young Habs forward will thrive in post-season.

Cherry also talked about how Patrick Roy's reputation as a "fighter" has motivated his Colorado Avalanche squad and will keep them fired-up through their playoff battles this year.
