Claude Giroux nets game-winner with no-look backhander
Forward scores 100th career NHL goal
Claude Giroux may not have been flying, but he was certainly "falling with style" when he scored Philadelphia's game-winner on Thursday.
The Flyers forward netted a no-look, backhand shot while falling to the ice in the third period of a 5-4 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets.
It turned out to be the 100th career NHL goal for the 25-year-old from Hearst, Ont. Giroux is brushing off some early-season struggles with 30 points in 35 games, scoring 10 over the past five appearances.
