Canucks-Blues series to be broadcast in HD
Good news, hockey fans. CBC Sports will broadcast the remaining games of the Stanley Cup playoff series between the Vancouver Canucks and St. Louis Blues in high definition.
Save-On-Foods agreed Thursday to sponsor the HD broadcasts for Games 3 and 4 and, if necessary, Game 6 from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis.
CBC Sports had already committed to providing HD broadcasts for the games at General Motors Place.
"We would like to thank Save-On-Foods for their support," said Scott Moore, executive director of CBC Sports. "We are now able to better service the passionate fans in Vancouver and across the country."
The Canucks beat the Blues 2-1 in the opener of the best-of-seven Western Conference quarter-final at GM Place on Wednesday night.
The series resumes Friday in Vancouver (CBC, 10 p.m. ET) — and in HD.
