Canada is moving on to the final four at the world junior hockey championship.

Canada wrapped up first place in Pool B when the United States dropped a 5-2 decision to the Czech Republic at Rexall Place on Friday.

The top team in each pool earns a bye to the semifinals.

Canada has opened with three straight wins and will close out the preliminary round Saturday against the Americans.

Finland and the Czechs have already lost to Canada and cannot catch the host team in the standings.

The second seed in each pool faces the third-place team from the opposite pool in the quarter-finals. The bottom two teams in each pool drop to the relegation round.
