Nazem Kadri is back with the London Knights.
The Toronto Maple Leafs' first round draft pick, who turned heads during the pre-season with three goals and some heads-up play, was returned to his Ontario Hockey League club on Sunday morning.
"Everything he said was understandable," Kadri, 19, told the Toronto Star about his meeting with coach Ron Wilson.
"I think our meeting was pretty positive. I support the decision ."
Kadri, listed at six feet and 177 pounds, was taken seventh overall by Toronto in the June draft after racking up 78 regular season points in junior and adding another 21 in the 2009 playoffs.
Also on Sunday, forward Christian Hanson and defender Jonas Frogren were sent to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, while defender Andy Rogers, in camp on a tryout, was released.
Sunday and Monday are cut down days for NHL clubs as they prepare for their regular season openers later this week.
