Ottawa Senators right-winger Marian Hossa is joining younger brother Marcel and Slovak countryman Rastislav Pavlikovsky with Mora of the Swedish Elite League.

Hossa, who was Ottawa's leading scorer last season, began the year with Dukla Trencin in Slovakia.

"Naturally, it helped that both Marcel and Rastislav play for us," Mora director Jan Simons said. "I think that those three players want to prove something on the ice."

Martin Havlat, Hossa's Ottawa teammate, signed with Moscow Dynamo Wednesday, leaving Znojmo of the Czech league.

Hossa is expected to practise with Mora on Monday and will play his first game three days later against the Modo-led Peter Forsberg.

Hossa's contract is set to expire Jan. 31, but Simons said an extension could be in the works.

Hossa had 36 goals and 46 assists for the Senators last year and finished fifth in the NHL scoring race. He had 17 goals and 13 assists in 19 games with Dukla Trencin.

Mora also has Edmonton Oilers forwards Shawn Horcoff and Daniel Cleary on its roster.
