From a downtown community neighbourhood rink in Toronto to a small community in Alberta, hockey communities exist all over this country, but which one has what it takes to be the best? Kraft Hockeyville 2010, presented by Kraft Canada Inc., the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, NHL Enterprises Canada, L.P., and the National Hockey League Players' Association (collectively, the "Sponsors"), is the unique and exciting competition designed to find out which Canadian community stands above all the others. Kraft Hockeyville 2010 (the "Competition") will seek out the best Kraft Hockeyville 2010 Community. It's the ultimate Canadian competition!

1. ENTRY PROCEDURE
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
Beginning November 2, 2009 you can obtain an application for the Kraft Hockeyville 2010 Competition:
Any Entry Materials that are deemed inappropriate by the Sponsors or are not suitable for a family audience will be disqualified at the sole discretion of the Sponsors. All Entry Materials shall become the property of the Sponsors and will not be returned to Entrants. Entry Materials may be used by the Sponsors in accordance with these Competition Rules. Once your Entry Materials have been completed, the Entrant can submit them:
The Sponsors are not liable for lost, late, stolen, illegible, or misdirected entries. Note: Entrants should refrain from submitting any photographs with their Entry Materials that show any clothing items bearing business, designer, or sports logos or designs (other than logos or designs owned by Entrant) or that otherwise include intellectual property rights, personality rights or other third party rights which Entrant does not own or control. All Entry Materials must: (i) be original with the applicable Entrant; (ii) not have been previously published or won any other prize/award; and (iii) not infringe copyright, intellectual property rights, personality rights or other third party rights (including without limitation privacy, consent from people appearing in the material, personality or other property or civil rights) of any other party, including but not limited to any person, group, entity, or company. All uses of the Kraft Hockeyville Official Mark are subject to approval by the CBC.

2. SELECTION PROCESS
The In-house Panel will select the Top Twelve (12) Communities, (the "Top Twelve")– two (2) Communities in each of the four (4) Regions (defined below) plus four (4) Communities, to be listed on the website as Wild Card ("Wild Card"), being one (1) from each of the four (4) Regions, from all the eligible applications received by January 18, 2010. These Top Twelve will move on to the next stage of the Competition.
The In-house Panel will select the Top Twelve by evaluating each Entrant's essay and photo(s) on the Judging Criteria (community spirit, originality and passion for hockey). The decisions of the In-house Panel are in its sole discretion and are final (see Section 7, General Rules, below).
The Top Twelve will be showcased on Kraft Hockeyville on CBC on March 15, 2010. Each Entrant selected to the Top Twelve will be contacted by courier and/or telephone to inform him or her of such selection no later than February 11, 2010. Note: The Sponsors are not obliged to notify Entrants that are not selected to the Top Twelve.
Voting starts upon completion of Top Twelve show on March 15, 2010 airing at 9:00 p.m. local and ends at 11:59 p.m.ET on March 21, 2010. Vote for your favourite Community from among the Top Twelve. The Top Five Communities (the "Top Five") will be determined by audience vote based on the Judging Criteria expressed during such period. Each Region will have at least one entry in the Top Five. The Top Five will be chosen by audience voting as follows: One (1) of the two (2) Communities per Region, and one (1) of the four (4) Wild Card Communities. No more than two (2) Communities per Region will be in the Top Five. These Top Five will be featured as per the Competition Schedule in section 6 below. Once the Top Five have been revealed, voters will be re-invited to vote between 11:00 p.m.ET on March 27 and 11:59 p.m.ET on March 31, 2010.
3. CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY
Kraft Hockeyville is open to all Canadian communities.
The Entrant must be a legal resident of Canada thirteen years of age or older as of November 2, 2009. If the Entrant is thirteen years of age or older but has not reached the Age of Majority in the province or territory in which he or she resides, the authorization of such Entrant's parent or legal guardian will be required in order for such Entrant to be eligible to participate in this Competition. In addition, for such Entrants that have not reached the Age of Majority in their home province or territory, in each case where these Competition Rules specify that a Release Form must be signed by an Entrant, the parent or legal guardian of such Entrants will be required to execute such Release Forms on behalf of the minor Entrant or the Entrant shall not be eligible to participate in the Competition. In order for the NHL® Pre-Season Hockey Game to be played at the Home Arena (as defined in Section 4 below), the Home Arena must be outfitted with artificial ice, meet the NHL® and NHLPA's standards and be available and able to be used on the date of the NHL® Pre-Season Hockey Game which shall take place on a date between July 1, 2010 and September 20, 2010, to be chosen by the Sponsors in their sole discretion. Also, the Community must be located within a radius of 200 km from the nearest airport that has at least a 6000 foot runway at which the NHL® teams are able to arrive by their usual form of air transportation. If the Home Arena does not meet all requirements outlined above, the Grand Prize Winning Community will host the NHL® Pre-Season Hockey Game at the nearest alternative arena that meets all such requirements, to be selected by Sponsors in their sole discretion after consultation with the Entrant (the "Alternative Arena"). If the NHL® Pre-Season Hockey Game is played at an Alternative Arena, the $100,000 in upgrades to the Home Arena will still be awarded to the Home Arena endorsed by the Entrant, not to such Alternative Arena.
Directors, officers, employees, and members of the Sponsors, the National Hockey League, and its member teams, NHL Enterprises, L.P., NHL Enterprises B.V., and NHL Interactive CyberEnterprises, LLC, and each of the directors, officers, employees, and members of their affiliated companies, advertising and promotional agencies and/or representatives, the In-House Panel, and any person or entity connected with the production or administration of Kraft Hockeyville 2010 (the Sponsors and such entities and individuals, collectively, the "Competition Parties"), and immediate family members of any of the foregoing or those with whom any of the foregoing are domiciled are not eligible to participate in the Competition.
The Sponsors have full and sole authority to determine if the Entrant and Community entered in the Competition are eligible to participate, and if the appropriate authorizations can be obtained from the owners of the Home Arena and/or the Alternative Arena, if applicable.

7. GENERAL RULES
7.1 The Sponsors reserve the right to change the structure, process, timing, duration or any other aspect of the Competition at their discretion. Additionally, the Sponsors reserve the right to suspend, cancel or postpone the Game in their sole discretion. If the whole or any part or parts of any activity relating to the Grand Prize is/are cancelled, the Grand Prize Winning Community agrees to accept alternative hockey events and/or other hockey-themed replacement prizes which have approximate value to the cancelled activities in and as full satisfaction of the Grand Prize in its entirety and agrees that Entrant and Grand Prize Winning Community shall have no claim against the Competition Parties or any other person in respect of the cancelled portion of the Grand Prize.
7.2 The Sponsors reserve the right to amend the Competition Rules or terminate the Competition at any time without any liability to any Entrant. The Sponsors further reserve the right to replace at their discretion any Entrant who for any reason fails or is disqualified from or unable to participate in any aspect of the Competition, as determined by the Sponsors in their discretion, with another Entrant, notwithstanding that such replacement Entrant may have been previously eliminated from the Competition..
7.3 It is a condition of entry and participation in the Competition that Entrants make themselves available to participate in the Competition, agree, sign and abide by all applicable Release Forms and these Competition Rules as devised from time to time by the Sponsors. Entrants agree to execute all documents necessary to assign any and all prizes to the appropriate Community. As stated in section 3, If the Entrant is thirteen years of age or older but has not reached the Age of Majority in the province or territory in which he or she resides, the authorization of such Entrant's parent or legal guardian will be required in order for such Entrant to be eligible to participate in this Competition. In addition, for such Entrants that have not reached the Age of Majority in their home province, in each case where these Competition Rules specify that a Release Form must be signed by an Entrant, the parent or legal guardian of such Entrant will be required to execute such Release Forms on behalf of the minor Entrant or the Entrant shall not be eligible to participate in the Competition. As part of the contribution to the Program, the Sponsors may request Entrants to participate, free of charge, in any activity relating to the Program including without limitation recordings and participation in interviews, appearances, promotional, and publicity activities..
7.4 The Sponsors will have no liability to an Entrant who is unable to attend or take part in any part of the Competition for whatever reason, as determined by the Sponsors in their sole discretion..
7.5 The Sponsors' and In-House Panel's decisions (or, where appropriate, the decision of the audience voting, as recorded by the voting service provider) are final and the Entrants acknowledge that the interests of the Program shall override those of any Entrant. The Sponsors reserve the right to consult with the In-House Panel in the matter of the selection of the Top Twelve Communities; however, the decisions of the In-House Panel are in its sole discretion and are final. Where the integrity of the audience voting system is compromised or the audience voting system is otherwise not functioning, as determined by the Sponsors in their sole discretion, the Sponsors reserve the right to make all final decisions in relation to the Competition..
7.6 All Entrants agree that, to the extent permitted by law, the Sponsors and their agents can use, exploit, and distribute in any media whatsoever, including without limitation the Internet, now known or hereafter created, worldwide in perpetuity, the Entrant's Entry Materials, name, likeness, image, voice, comments and appearances without any further consent or compensation. Further, by entering the Competition, each Entrant represents and warrants that each individual who is included in photographs, videotapes, or any type of media for Entrant's submissions (each an "Other Individual," and collectively, the "Other Individuals") has as of the date of Entrant's submission, agreed that the Sponsors and their agents can use, exploit, and distribute in any media whatsoever, including without limitation the Internet, now known or hereafter created, worldwide in perpetuity, such Other Individual's name, likeness, image, voice, comments without any further consent or compensation. By entering, all Entrants agree to waive any and all copyright interest, of any nature or kind, they may have in their Entry Materials, including but not limited to essays, videos, lyrics and music composed by the Entrants, and appearances, including without limitation any moral rights in the foregoing, and unconditionally assign such rights and interests to Sponsors. By entering the Competition, each Entrant represents and warrants that each Other Individual has, as of the date of Entrant's submission, agreed to waive any and all copyright interest, of any nature or kind, they may have in any Entry Materials provided in connection with the Competition, including but not limited to essays, videos, lyrics and music composed by such Other Individual or an Entrant, and appearances, including without limitation any moral rights in the foregoing. .
7.7 Sponsors shall own all rights, including copyright, in the Entry Materials including but not limited to essays, videos, lyrics and music composed by the Entrants. Sponsors shall have the right to edit or extract Entry Materials for use in perpetuity.
7.8 There is no obligation on the part of the Sponsors to record or broadcast any Program in which an Entrant has appeared or any part of his/her contribution to a Program..
7.9 All Entrants shall sign a document declaring that they have read, understood and complied with the Competition Rules and attesting to their eligibility as stipulated in these Competition Rules..
7.10 Entrants acknowledge that the Competition Parties and each of their directors, officers, employees and members are not responsible for and are in no way liable for any injuries, loss or damages arising from the Competition or the Program and agree to release and hold harmless all such Competition Parties from any liability in connection with the Competition, the Program or any prize awarded. .
7.11 Each prize must be accepted "as is" and may not be exchanged for an amount of money, auctioned, bartered, sold or transferred and are non-refundable. No substitutions will be allowed, except as set forth below..
7.12 If a prize cannot be awarded as described in these Competition Rules, the Sponsors, as well as their respective directors, officers, employees, and members, reserve the right to substitute a prize or prize component with another of comparable value..
7.13 Refusal to accept a prize releases the Competition Parties, and each of their directors, officers, employees and members of all responsibility and obligations toward the winner of such prize..
7.14 All information requested by and supplied to the Sponsors by each Entrant must be truthful, accurate, and in no way misleading. The Sponsors reserve the right to disqualify any Entrant from the Competition in their discretion, should the Entrant at any stage supply untruthful, inaccurate, or misleading details and/or information or should the Entrant be or become ineligible at any stage of the Competition pursuant to the Competition Rules. .
7.15 The Competition Parties shall not be liable for any losses, delays, mistaken addresses, typographical errors, errors on printed or electronic material, technical, computer or telephone malfunctions, loss or theft of computer data, damage to software or computer equipment, fraudulent calls or any other mistake. Any attempt by a participant to deliberately damage the Website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Competition, including but not limited to any fraudulent claims, may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. If such an attempt is made, the Competition Parties reserve the right to seek remedies and damages from any such individual, to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. .
Under no circumstances, including negligence, shall the Competition Parties be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages that result from the use of or inability to use the Website, nor assume any liability for any personal injury or property damage or losses of any kind, including without limitation, direct, indirect, consequential, incidental or punitive damages which may be sustained to an Entrant's or any other person's electronic equipment resulting from user's attempt to either participate in the Competition or download any information in connection with participating in the Competition or use of the Website. Without limiting the foregoing, everything on the Website is provided, "as is" without any warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement..
7.16 The Competition Parties shall assume no liability whatsoever for any situation in which their inability to act results from an event or situation unforeseeable or beyond their control, including but not limited to force majeure, a strike, lockout or any other labour dispute at their location or the locations of the businesses whose services are used to hold this Competition.
Any on-line submission or mail in entries or other materials used in this Competition that have been tampered with, altered, reproduced, not legitimately obtained, or which contain or reflect any error will be void. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Competition Parties reserve the right to cancel or suspend this Competition for any reason including fraud, technical failures, any network server or hardware failure, viruses, bugs, errors in programming, or any other errors or other causes beyond the control of the Competition Parties that may corrupt the administration, security, or proper execution of the Competition..
7.17 All personal information, such as name, e-mail address and age is collected solely for the purposes of administering this Competition and shall not be used for any other purpose unless the individual providing it consents to other uses. By providing this information, all Entrants consent to it being used for the purposes of administering this Competition. .
7.18 In the event of any dispute concerning the operation of any element of the Competition or these Competition Rules, the decision of the Sponsors will be final..

DEFINITIONS
Community - A group of people exemplifying Canadian Hockey Spirit, whether a downtown community neighbourhood in Toronto, or a small community in Alberta. The Community is selected by the Entrant (e.g. Leaside in Toronto, Kitsilano in Vancouver or Cap-Rouge in Quebec City).
Age of Majority - At least 18 years old in Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec and Saskatchewan and at least 19 years old in British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Northwest Territories, Nova Scotia, Nunavut, and Yukon.
Competition - The skill competitions within the Program including without limitation each stage of the Competition up to and including the selection of the Grand Prize Winning Community. It is intended that the Grand Prize Winning Community will ultimately be selected by audience vote.
Judging Criteria - Community spirit, passion for hockey, and originality. The In-House Panel will select the Top 12 on the basis noted in these Competition Rules. Audience votes should also be cast using such criteria.
Entrant - Any person who completed a valid Application form and submitted Entry Materials.
In-House Panel - Such person(s) as the Sponsors may nominate to judge the Entries in accordance with the Judging Criteria.
Series - Such television programs related to the Competition as may be broadcast by CBC.
Program - Kraft Hockeyville 2010
Release Form(s) - Any release form, waiver, affidavit, declaration, consent, agreement or other legally enforceable document supplied from time to time by the Sponsors which Entrants are required to sign in connection with the Program.
Regions - Atlantic, Quebec, Ontario, West. A map of the Regions is available on www.cbcsports.ca/hockeyville. If a Community straddles two or more Regions, the Sponsors, in their sole discretion, may determine which Region that Community falls within.
Atlantic Region - Newfoundland & Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick
Quebec Region - Quebec
